FAQs

Can these tiles be used outdoors?

Yes. The tiles are free draining and have a UV stabilizer mixed into material.

Can tiles be laid over painted, vinyl, or carpeted floors?

Yes, for painted and vinyl. We recommend removing the carpet before installation.

Does the floor need to be dry or degreased first?

No. The tiles can be laid on damp or contaminated surfaces. They’re breathable, and no adhesive is needed.

Can your tiles be used with underfloor heating?

Yes, but switch on the heating and let it reach normal temperature before installing. Lay full tiles first and let them acclimatize for 24 hours before installing the edges.

How much cutting allowance or wastage should I plan for?

Allow 5% extra. Measure accurately and any off cuts can be used elsewhere around your install. Better to over-order slightly - unused tiles can be returned or kept as spares.

Do I need to repair the subfloor first?

Only if there are major cracks or missing concrete. Just sweep or vacuum before installing.

What tools are needed to install garage floor tiles?

You’ll need a rubber mallet, tape measure or ruler, a pen and a jigsaw or concave-blade Stanley knife. A guillotine, table saw, or bandsaw also works when cutting tiles.

Can I use a floor jack on your tiles?

Yes. The tiles are tough and compress slightly under heavy loads but return to shape. Jacks, hoists, and toolboxes are fine.
