Product Description

Racking & Shelving bays spare replacement plastic feet for legs and tops caps

  • Set of 20 pieces of replacement plastic feet for boltless shelving and racking systems.
  • Enough for 5 bays
  • These can also be used as top caps for the steel angle to cover the metal edges.
  • Approximately 40mm x 40mm but as they are open ended they will fit longer or shorter posts.
These will fit the majority of boltless shelving bays from most of the leading European and Chinese manufacturers.  Either with a straight 90 degree angle post or the posts with the crimp running down the edge.  Please view the photos of some of the typical posts styles to see if it is similar to what you have.   All of the shelving and benches we supply will come with 4 feet included as standard.

Over time the plastic feet can be lost or damaged with moving your shelving and racking bays.  These will help protect your floors and also reduces the chance of rusting with the metal being in contact with concrete or other floor types.

As a minimum we offer a set of 20 to make the best use of postage. If you add to an order over £50 you will not pay any postage on this accessory.

FAQs

Can you add castors to your shelving?

No, our industrial shelving systems are designed to be static and are not compatible
with castors. Adding wheels can compromise the stability and safety of the structure.

What does UDL weight capacity mean?

UDL stands for Uniformly Distributed Load. This means the weight capacity
applies when the load is evenly spread across the shelf, not concentrated in one
spot (point-loading). Uneven loading can reduce stability and damage the shelving.

Does the top beam count as a level?

Yes, all structural beams count as a shelf level. Our shelves are adjustable and can
be positioned to your requirements but we recommend a level at the top and bottom
to create a solid structure.

Can I raise the lowest level to store something underneath?

Yes, the levels are adjustable, and you can raise the bottom shelf for clearance.
However, we recommend keeping the lowest level no higher than 700mm to
maintain stability and safe loading.

Are they suitable for a fish tank?

No, we don’t recommend using our shelving for fish tanks. Tanks place heavy,
localized pressure on shelves, and water movement adds stress.

Do I need to attach the shelving to a wall?

Not necessarily. Our industrial shelving is designed to be free-standing and stable on
its own. However, for added safety we recommend securing units to a wall or floor
using appropriate brackets or fixings.

What tools are needed?

Assembly is simple and typically only requires a rubber mallet. A flat-head
screwdriver helps with centre supports, and a drill is needed if wall-fixing.
