Key Features

  • Complete storage solution
  • Kits include 45 litre Wham boxes
  • 1800h x 900w x 450d mm boltless shelving
  • 1.2mm thick steel and 9 mm chipboard decks - no MDF

Product Description

These kits include our best selling WOW250 shelving combined with UK made strong lidded boxes.   The shelving is boltless and simple to assemble.   The boxes are strong and made from thick recycled plastic.  There are no holes in the base of the boxes and the lid covers the internal lip so these are showerproof / waterproof. The lids also clip on so nice and secure in transit.

Each rack size can have boxes on all shelves including the top, or without boxes on the top. If you choose the kit with boxes on the top shelf please add 320mm to height to get the overall height – and make sure you have enough height in your premises.

Shelving Details

Our WOW250 value racking has 9mm thick chipboard decks, this is much improved over mdf and less prone to warping and bending.  Due to cost pressures many manufacturers and sellers have downgraded their product.  It's not uncommon for shelving of this type to have 6mm thick (or less) mdf.  In this range our steelwork is 1.2mm thick. Again many sellers offer much thinner steelwork, it all looks similar in online photos so our recommendation is to check before you buy.

    • Two piece posts - but with a very strong and simple 'Sleeve Connector' - easier to assemble.
    • Boltless steel frame with supports under the decks
    • All steelwork  1.2mm thick
    • Butterfly rivet beam connections
    • 9mm Chipboard decks  (not mdf!)  Chipboard is stronger and less prone to warp
    • Powder coated paint finish
    • Shelves rated to 250kgs UDL  (Uniformly distributed load)
    • Choice of colour - business blue and orange or really nice anthracite grey
    • Delivered flatpack for easy assembly at your business or home

FAQs

Can you add castors to your shelving?

No, our industrial shelving systems are designed to be static and are not compatible
with castors. Adding wheels can compromise the stability and safety of the structure.

What does UDL weight capacity mean?

UDL stands for Uniformly Distributed Load. This means the weight capacity
applies when the load is evenly spread across the shelf, not concentrated in one
spot (point-loading). Uneven loading can reduce stability and damage the shelving.

Does the top beam count as a level?

Yes, all structural beams count as a shelf level. Our shelves are adjustable and can
be positioned to your requirements but we recommend a level at the top and bottom
to create a solid structure.

Can I raise the lowest level to store something underneath?

Yes, the levels are adjustable, and you can raise the bottom shelf for clearance.
However, we recommend keeping the lowest level no higher than 700mm to
maintain stability and safe loading.

Are they suitable for a fish tank?

No, we don’t recommend using our shelving for fish tanks. Tanks place heavy,
localized pressure on shelves, and water movement adds stress.

Do I need to attach the shelving to a wall?

Not necessarily. Our industrial shelving is designed to be free-standing and stable on
its own. However, for added safety we recommend securing units to a wall or floor
using appropriate brackets or fixings.

What tools are needed?

Assembly is simple and typically only requires a rubber mallet. A flat-head
screwdriver helps with centre supports, and a drill is needed if wall-fixing.
